I wish I could blog at work. But I can't, so I have a list of what popped into my mind to blog about. (You know should i call this a blog??? I rarely link...ach what's in a name! I don't concern my self with labels. Heh heh. I am in a viciously good mood right now. It's amazing what you can learn from other people's blogs. (Hint hint, try the icon...)
I went out with some friends I had since in years last night. Oh it was great. I was tired...and a bit quiet sussing the situation. But still very nice--I look forward to see them again. But, I didn't get home till 2 am and in bed till 3am. Not good...but I managed through the day...napping occasionally..see I have perfected sleep sitting straight, appearing like I am working. Grin. Don't tell Betty! See...viciously happy. Partly because I went out with Q to the mall...and hung...she's great. Although we had an encounter with a stupid salesman...pah...idiot store. Also happy, because 42 people went to ny site yesterday. The highest so far....ich fliege!!! Also happy cause I am eating a wonderful bowl of mac and cheese...YUM.
At this moment: I love life. Am I in denial?? Perhaps...shrug. Poof. Music is a wonderful thing. Last night i was at a bar which featured live music. decent cover band...but I had a smirk plastered on my face. Imagining someone else on stage...big ass smirk. Sigh, but I doubt he will come back to Texas and certainly not to San Antonio. Hell if I had a choice I wouldn't come here. So it goes. It is amazing how music can move a person. I was listening to Roy Orbison at work, I love that man,...his voice is light flying. He always makes me feel better. Oh, speaking of which, I actually heard U2's new song the Ground Beneath Her Feet in my grocery store!! Weird..and I still haven't heard it on a real radio station. Sigh.
Now if I may diverge. Someone needs to say it and it might as well be me....grin...U2's PR sucks ass!! Either that or U2 are living in a fantasy world. The biggest mistake of their last album...NO it wasn't the album itself...it was a great record!...it was the fact that U2 did not promote themselves in America properly. Sure they did K-Mart...but they went about it all wrong and few got the joke. They had ended their huge ZooTV tour in early 93 and pretty much disappeared off the globe till 97....sure they did a few things for the fans,...but nothing to register on the richter scale of the music market. A whole new group of teenagers appeared in the interim...and the teen fans grew up...so there is a huge vast amount of 12-18 year olds now and then,...how had and have NO clue who U2 were/are. U2 had/have fallen asleep in the comfort of their supremecy...the biggest band in the world. And the "world" forgot. So their tour and record weren't as big as it could have been...it was dissed because of improper PR work. Will they make the same mistake again...they just might. They are scheduled to have a relase in the fall...so far not a blimp on the richter scale. Not even a bloody fucking web site!
Rant over...that felt good.
