Let me defend my words. Besides my inablitiy to get tickets to this tour I have been antipating for 4 years, my underlying disappointment in this record can not be ignored no matter how much I want to...(I do have a permalink its a pattern of four dots :: next to the time date below) It's a rant I bring up from time to time.

Maybe it's the tone. Maybe I am missing the meat of colourful language. Maybe it's the way that the lyrics and the melody don't quite seem to meld. Maybe its the number of throw-away lines that should have been part of a poets early work not his newest. All I know is that I can't listen to the last few tracks of ATYCLB. The lyrics are trite and lack substance. It's as if he knows what he wants and needs to say but he just can't express it.

It's a great record. The music is brilliant. All the critics agree...it sound fantastic. But if you listen to the words you find yourself wanting. I haven't heard any one but a few people around me criticise the lyrics. Why. I don't hear a middle aged man in those lyrics. I hear a man happy and content. Maybe that is hard to express properly in words.

Myself--I can't write a decent expressing word anything, lately. Yet, I reserve the right to call out my peers.
