My favourite book is 1984...my second favourite book is The Handmaid's Tale. And I have read every book dealing with fictional distopia known to man. Am I paranoid because of it--YES. I seriously distrust any large company with far reaching influence. I inheritly distrust the media comglorates...AT&T, AOL, VIACOM...you know them. With the Courts now allowing media companies to have markets over 30% (info here and here)...whose to stop one company one company owning our entire communication network...film, television, internet, and print--(yes anti-trust, but really if media controls everything...whose's to think anti-trust). Many own bits of all 4...who know will try to own it all?? Currently Disney the parent company of ABC forbids the network to report any thing negative on Disney. Who will be deciding what we know? What will they do with such power?

Long ago I stopped worry about Big Brother Government...I now worry about Big Business Brother...worse I believe than Big Government. My solution? I'd tell ya but then I'd have to kill ya.

Funny isn't it...that I work for the biggest bank in the world. Irony is everywhere!
