I made cookies today. Haven't made cookies in ages and it's been even longer before I did it by hand...no electric blender. I was going to make them yesterday but I found to my horror we didn't have any baking soda. (No baking soda! How can a household BE a household without baking soda?! I know...I was very shocked. but J. remedied that this morning.) Haven't put them in the oven yet...I forgot to preheat.

Maybe I should have started with "I am making cookies today."
