So I am sure everyone has heard about this near miss. Now I know that scanning Space around us for incoming asteroids is nearly impossible, even if we had the money to do it, but it is distrubing to think that for all our technological advancements we are nearly still as blind as the dinosaurs.

The asteroid was not big enough to be as cataclysmic as the one that wipes out the dinosaurs, but I am sure if it has hit it would have done some significant damage.

So much for films Armagedon and Deep Impact...no saving the Earth for us...just alot of head scratching....if we had heads left that is.
