A Few Days Break

After blogging every day for a month I took a few days off. Although I did blog at Birdy's Knits--I've been working on the Adamas non stop.

Last night before I went to bed I noticed that the Venezuelan elections ended at midnight and that Chavez was trying to change the constitution. I though oh great--he IS now a dictator--like we need another one...I thought it was a sure thing. I was pleasantly surprised this morning when I read that his reforms failed to pass. I don't like the man much and we refuse to buy gas at Citgo, but today given his response my level of respect for him went up a notch.

More on the politics front: Where Have All the Feminists Gone?. This is a great article from FoxNews.com that ponders why are all the feminist political organisations silent in their condemnation of he Saudi Arabian rape victims punishmnt for her rape and the lace of punishment for her rapists. Or their silence in the case of the British woman who was jailed and convincted of insulting Islam by allowing children to name a Teddy Mohammed. The writer theorizes that their blind hatred of Bush blinds them to the atrocities done by people/philosophies that Bush condemns. Don't want to be on the same side as Bush now do we?

Have I ever said here how SICK I am of all this anti-Bush crap? He may have made a ton of mistakes and I would have prefered other to be president (but he was the best canidate that ran), but he isn't Satan, Chavez, or Hitler.
