It's Over

Jamey is done volunteering/working for the Army All American Bowl. He's been working non stop for a solid week or so--putting in 15+ hour days. Its his annual thing--I don't begrudge his massive effort--plus since he gets a rental van, I GET the van (read: freedom!!). We both win.

However, Micci missed him this week. Jamey left before he woke and got hoem long after he'd been in bed. Mic asked me this week: "Is Daddy moving?"

Me: ?? What makes you say that?

Mic: Just answer.

Me: Do you miss him?

Mic: Is Daddy going to move back home to his parents?

Me: No Micci. (After giving him a big hug) Daddy is just really busy with the Army Bowl, don't worry. We're Daddy's family and he's not moving without us.

I'm relieved it's over because I missed my husband as well. Poor Jamey is exhausted and although proud of his accomplished task, I think he's relieved it's over too.
