I found out Thursday that my family's dogs are gone, in the most literal sense. I left their house sick to my stomach. It's funny my parent's don't believe in abortion but it's okay to kill dogs because they have become an "inconvience" to them. My parent's want to travel--dogs wouldn't fit into that life style. My parent's don't travel--and I don't see it happening in the near future. My parent's want a garden...the dogs liked to uproot it. A fence would have kept them out....they make all kinds.

I can't even begin to describe the disgust I feel right now. There were other options. Although I believe that you accept the responsiblity of a pet you have to dedicate your life to that animal for as long as it naturally lives. And if you must discharge your responsibilty TRY to find a home. My parent's told my 11 year old sister, if she wanted them to live SHE needed to find them a home. You can't put that on a child. If anything--there are shelters that don't practise euthansia. But my parents--thought it best to kill an "inconvience"--they decided that they would not accept their responsibities and their promise to those animals.
