Ignorance upsets me--either by choice or by chance. (I think today's posts will happen on my soap box) At this moment I am upset by the ignorance women have over their bodies. I'm reading excerpts from a book featured on the Today Show, Taking Charge of Your Fertilty. It explains so much about the female body and the misconceptions surrounding our fertility.

Something that should be taught in sex education...to both boys and girls. I know of so many people that don't understand the importance of charting menstral cycles. Too many people let life happen to them instead of taken charge of life. Anyway this books takes simple markign their periods on a calender to something my empowering...taking control of your fertility by knowing it intimately.

For instance, the reason I got pregnant was because I didn't undestand my own fertility...I thought because it was so soon after my period ended I was safe from pregnancy...not quite.

Sigh.
