I finally remember what I wanted to blog about yesterday. I found this great website concerning breastfeeding. Especially this article, The History of Breastfeeding. What shocked me about the history was the way men tried to take control and dominate breastfeeding...a woman's issue and pregogative. It is easily seen the fear men have had of women, and their need to take control so they don't feel fear or feel inferior.

I recommend every one read the article...especially if you're the slightest bit interested in women studies.

Personally, the attribute the historical subugation of women as a fear response. Woman give birth, nuture, and spurt the very life sustaining essense that without humanity wouldn't be here. That's a lot of power. And unfortunately we weren't blessed with as much strength as the menfolk.

I am certainly glad that I was born to this age....because if I was born in most any other age I most likely would have been burnt at the stake.
