Strawberry Shortcake

Am I alone in hating the new Strawberry Shortcake? I feel very disinfranchised! I want my old Strawberry Shortcake back!!! She is a little girl with a cute red dress and white and green apron with green and white striped tights!! Not a preteen in a sweater and pants set!! And what about her hat!! Whereis the strawberry covered pillow hat? She never wore a straw hat with one dinky strawberry on it!

I recently admitted to myself that I have been obsessed with Strawberry Shortcake for 20 years...but I never really knew it though. Even though I had an entire bed set, ennumerable mugs, references to them all over the places, books, and yes the love of the fruit itself.

SO...Lorelei's bedroom and theme is Strawberry Shortcake...VINTAGE...can it be that my childhoos is VINTAGE!!?!?! Sigh. I found my old Strawberry Shortcake bedspread (found mildrewing in a box in my parents attic) and am trimming the damaged bit and turning it into a duvet (a la my bee blanket) and I will give it too Lorelei.

So if anyone finds Classic Shortckae stuff lemme know (I just can't say vintage).

And the those whores at Mattel are ruining my childhoos memeroies killing the care bears and my little pony...they will pay...a very special place in hell is reserved for those cretins...destroyer of my cherished childhood toys.

I understand the Strawberry Shortcake annoyance! I STILL have all of the original charachters, and they all still smell the same as they did when I first got them. I have pillows shaped like her and most of the playsets. You are not alone. If you're looking for the dolls or other miscellaneous items, go to ebay. There is a TON of stuff out there and it's priced nicely.
