I'm a Princess
I haven't blogged much because I have been busy cleaning. Somebody told me that my brother and his wife was coming this weekend. Given the state of my house--I had major cleaning to get done. Now, whether that someone was trying to trick me into cleaning (I was going to do it anyway) or is becoming very hard of hear or is in the first stages of dementia--it doesn't matter much now. My living room is clean!! As a reward we all went to the library and I got to knit for a few hours with the knitting group.
Bliss! The library recently reopened after renovations and I have to say I love the new layout. The children's section is HUGE and out of the way and most importantly away from me. Don't get me wrong I sincerely live my kids, but everyone who has kids knows---you have GOT to get away from them once and a while.
After knitting--which I am so doing again--I just hope Jamey's fantastic weekend off schedule continues--we went to Jim's for dinner. Lorelei had by then fallen asleep and Mic realised that he forgot his blanket at the library (already closed); he spent most of dinner pouting. Lorelei woke up at the end of dinner--fussy--do I have to elaborate on the world ending fussiness? I'd rather not. She finally calmed down enough to realise that there was food and yes food would make it all better. Of course by the time that happened it was time to go...
Unwilling to part with Micci's left over fries and white gravy, Lorelei had me put the gravy in a plastic cup for her to eat in the car. I have to say now, Lorelei LOVES white gravy--well she likes to dip, but she really loves white gravy. About 5 or 10 minutes down the road, I look back and see her covered in white gravy--of course all over her face, but all up and down her arms. I am not quite sure how she managed to dive into the plastic cup of gravy, but she did it.
Stifling a laugh, I pointed out, "You are a pretty messy girl."
To which Lorelei blithely replied, "No, I'm a Princess."
