Spin Me!

I heart GEORGE!

This NBA Finals season has been awash with media spin. The Spurs a dirty team? WTF? Bruce Bowen and Manu Ginobli dirty players? Sigh. We've had this team for years they have always been aggressive when it comes to defending. It's called being a great defensive team and hello this is BASKETBALL not sissy ball.

Sure Robert Horry lost his temper, but it's not indicative of him OR the Spurs. We're a good honest ball club and we don't whine and bitch. We play good basketball.

In other Sports news....it looks like the Silver Stars are going to have a great season. We're 3-0 in the pre-season (which doesn't count---but I think it's a good start) and they look great on the court. In the 5 years San Antonio has a had a WNBA team---we've hardly EVER won. Yet, we kept our season tickets and cheered and brought our noisemakers, signs, and balloons--we still believed that our team was great and someday they would BE great.

Here's hoping that the Spurs can pull their boot straps out of this funk.
