Backwards

Yesterday Jamey got me my early Christmas prezzie: a new (to me) computer--a great little refurbished Dell. It's so nice having my own computer again. It's so fantastic to be able to see through the screen (Jamey's lap top has a crack through it).

I have been busily making the computer my own--updating things, downloading things. And to my surprise I could not download IE7 because the operating system I chose was Windows 2000....which the MAN deems obsolete. Sorry but I HATE XP--it's interface is just plain annoying! I chose this comp also for the wondrous amount of hard drive space (I got my HD space for the money on 2000 than I would have gotten on XP). Pfft on them...so I downloaded Firefox instead--I like it better any way because it has automatic spell check in the text boxes.

But I have to wonder--what programmes with be off limits because of my "obsolete" operating system which I happen to LOVE!!!!

AND I need a name for my new computer. She's all black and she has a wonderful flat screen monitor. I am feeling a bit brain dead right now--so I would appreciate some help in the nomenclature department. Please left a comment and the winner gets a...well my undying gratitude because hell if I am gonna part with MY yarn!
