Why do I subscribe to mailing lists? And why do I read them? The writers in these thigns most often get me sooooo mad! Especially a certain infamous U2 list. Hmmm. Perhaps it's the slice of the world it represents, or perhaps the extremes it represents. Fanatic fans who most often have other extreme and inflexible view points.

Tell me where I'm I from? Is it where I was born? My citizenship? My growing up? A military brat born in Germany, globe-trotting through childhood and adolecence? I live in Texas--but call me a Texan and you'll recieve a nasty look in response.

I think I'll just stick to Earthling. Should it be any different? We are all human---why should we think ourselves into more cubby holes?
