So after a week of telling Michael it's time to come out...we're having to tell him to say in there for another week. My Grandfather died on Wednesday, so the entire family packed up and drove across country for the funeral. I stayed behind since I am about to POP any day now....and the two day road trip would probably make me go into labour. But, I don't want to have the baby without my mom being here...so...Michael has got to wait...

Strange to say I am not that upset about my grandpa's passing. He was dying of emphysema and was literally wasting away, slowly suffocating. Now he is at peace and he is home.

He died one day short of his 85th birthday. My grandfather was an iron welder and made bridges and other things made of iron that needed to be welded. He built his house, with his own hands, which saw births and weddings for 30 odd years. The first christmas I remember was in that house. He always had a little stubble on his cheeks and would give me "beardies" on my own cheeks. He had a great laugh and always smiled. He loved to read. And always slept face down on the carpet for his afternoon naps. I will miss him terribly.
