I've been an avid read of the garden web forums. I was trying to figure out what to do with my Lemon Balm...I had never heard of it before I bought the seed packet. Perusing the forums I discovered it can be eaten right of the stalk and in salads (plus a thousand other things). Well I snipped a few leaves off...absolutely delicious. When the lemon balm gets bigger I think I am going to make myself a full salad. It has this great lemony sweet taste (hence the name lemon balm...grin). So then I began to graze my herbs...some parsley...a mild taste...oregano...a bit too strong to be eaten right off the stalk. I didn't try the others...they still have some growing to do. I am just glad the lemon balm is doing so well...cause ooh it tastes so good I may not be able to help my self from eating a few leaves every day.
