Whew! It looks like J. caught the painting bug from his parents. (We spent the last Saturday before we left painting the Maple House). J. painted our dining room a pretty shade of green. It looks really nice. Hence I really wasn't able to clean. Also, T&R and their little girl spent today at our house--and I can never clean, really clean, while I have guests--or in front of J. It's weird I can't clean while there's people around....grin I am a shy cleaner. Smirk. But tomorrow...I am alone I can organise all those pesky papers. Don't worry Mum the living room still looks great.

A big milestone has been breached in Micci's life: he has cast aside his crib and has graduated into a toddler bed. Actually all I did was remove one side of the bars...poof...toddler bed (we have one of those great convertable cribs). It was a bit rough putting him down for a nap...he played for almost an hour before he crashed.

But, it's not as simple as it sounds apparently Mic prefers sleeping on his fold out couch rather than on his bed. Right now he is clutching his Hug-A-Bear, with his wee bum sticking up in the air. I had put his couch on the side of his bed (so he won't fall too far down and to have a bit of a step up to his bed (the convertable crib converts a bit too high). Anyhoo, in the dark without fussing, got down off of his bed unfolded the couch and layed down to sleep with his bear. It's darling.

So far my experiment with cleanliness is working. I did dishes, straightened up...looks nice. All I need to finish is the dining room--find a place for those papers...but the walls are drying so I tackle that tomorrow. Another 5 1/2 weeks to go.
