Something old and something new; something borrowed and something blue. Don't you wish getting married was as simple as all that?? T&R's sister got married last Saturday...it went off with a few hitches. The hitch I am most concerned with is the bridal party dresses. Dresses that were never finished and had to be worn any way...even though they were ordered three months ago. R showed me her dress...which in all fairness was techincally finished...but technically it looked like shite. The seams were uneven...the hems...were straight out of a junior high home ec. class....shudder...one sleeve was bunched ( it wasn't supposed to be) and the zipper was mismatched. And god where was the bias????

I am egging R on to suing the dress maker. 91 bucks for a home ec project....I think not. The dress maker might be old but it doesn't excuse the mess she is passing off as a dress. As a dressmakers daughter and a sometimes sewer my self it's insulting.

This is one of the reasons I got married the way I did...simple no frills...ten bucks and my right hand raised and I am done.

Not to say I am not a romantic and want a story book wedding...I do...but since I couldn't have it my way went we got married...I'll wait to a later date to get it the way I want it. That's what the renewal ceremony is for right??
