Loud Eaters

Yesterday, Micci and I were playing outside. I was gardening and Mic was running around playing. I walked to my compost heap (my newly started compost heap) to see what was going on. I had thrown some corn husks on top a few days before. They were covered with pill bugs and snails. And when I bent down to get a closer look, I could actually hear them eating.

It was weird. It makes sense...but you never hear them...or think about it. I just wish I could persuade all the pill bugs and snails in my yard to stay over on the heap, and NOT in my pumpkin patch trying to murder my pumpkins.
