The hardest thing I have ever done

The past few days have been so HARD. Yesterday was especially hard. Day 3 into potty training and I was about to lose my mind. I was exhausted. Watching a child, who has no diaper on, for the first sign of urination or defecation is beyond exhausting...add to that an infant who may be beginning to teethe. I was on the edge of loosing it all day. But I didn't and I even got some nice cuddle time with Mic when we read his good night stories.

All the toilet training advice has been no help. They make it sound so easy. We decided to use Mic's one currency: candy, to reward and motivate him to use the potty. All day he badgered me, "Micci candy??" "No, Micci, you have to pee pee or poo poo into the potty." Argh...repeating that conversation over and over nearly made me strap him to the potty like they do in China.

I think it may be paying off. Last night he went poo poo on the potty, but missed it for his pee pee and never took off his underwear. This morning he went pee pee on the potty and forgot to take off the uderwear again. It progress!!! Although he never told me (I layed off him and stopped watching him so closely), and stamped various things with his wet bottom.

Since then he's bgeen running around naked as the day he was born...s he doesn't have to worry about the middle man.
