Surviving siblings

I feel for Lorelei...I never knew the pain of having an older sibling, being the eldest myself. Every day she deals with Micci smothering her with attention. Sometimes she loves it, othertimes however she'll look at me with imploring eyes, "For the love of Pete help me--get this 30 pound thing off of me!!!" Then she'll start screaming. Mic love his little sister so much. But the poor dear must have some space, or she'll turn into a pyschopath. So I have created a Micci free zone...the cube that is Lori's blanket is her respite--not all the time, but when she's learning a new skill...she'll have the space to do it in.

She's on the cusp of being able to sit by her self. Lore can do it for short periods, a few minutes. AND she can roll over--I am wondering when she'll learn that she can actually move from point A to point B by rolling.

Then the true destruction can begin.

In the meantime I am trying to keep a clean house, in the midst of Lore being a teething cranky mess. I figure if I do it little by little eventually I can have people over.

But my standards have fallen. I am no longer fighting for a clutter, toy free floor. I surrendered the floor to Micci and Lorelei, but the couches THOSE are still mine!!
