Back from Vacation and what I learned

We're back and I have so much to tell you! I might need to break it up into several entries.

When you drive 24 hours you get a lot of time to think...esp. at night when everyone else in the car is sleeping. I think I discovered why I don't get more hits on my blog. I am not entirely "honest" when I blog...I think I am but I am not. I have developed an annoying fear of writing. Which is very unfortunate when one is a writer. Somwhere inside I fear the power of my words and I feel uncomfortable sending out that power on paper.

It's stupid. What I write will not happen! Unless I want it to. And if someone gets offended, well that makes a good and compelling story. Even if a certain someone harps on it till her dying day I will write what I feel and be free.

So next question...is how do I overcome this fear and get my writing back on target--not only writing in this blog, but in general. I'll never write that book if I fear it. Now, time is an issue...one small reason why I don't blog as often is time constraints...but even when I do blog...that fear gets in the way and I blog inane dumb things.

So that is what I learned on vacaction. I also learned that I am addicted to knitting. And the most important thing I learned is the kindness of strangers is alive in strong.

I also missed my internet and will probably spend the next few hours blogging and surfing, even though my house needs cleaning.
