Purely Offensive

I wonder why when someone reads something that they don't agree with they immediately assume the author specifically meant to personally offend THEM. It's like they read, "Oi! Mrs. Smith...this is meant for YOU!!"

Like here, Crystal is just saying she rather not have kids right now...if ever. And people took it to mean that having kids isn't worth while and oooo you're making a big mistake...getting really offended. Or on one of my list groups someone used the word "most" and some one got all offended...and felt that was a personal slander and then he offended a bunch of people and now I am fed up and have taken to mass deleting for the next few days.

Personally, I have always taken this stance: if you get offended by what I said or by what someone else said--it's not MY problem it's a problem/issue YOU have and something you need to sort out on your end. Like if you said something about big noses and I got all offended well obviously I have an issue with my own big conk and need to chill...someone's got an issue!

All in all it makes me glad that no one actually uses the comment feature on my blog...cause I think I would get tons of hate mail. I am sure if this blog was widely read, I'd be offending all sorts of people.
