Happy Birthday Lorelei...and Frodo and Bilbo!

Lorelei is one year old today! Happy Birthday girlie! Everyone is coming here for her party. Even though a hurricane is coming up are bottoms. San Antonio might be quite a bit inland, but this storm is HUGE and I won't be suprised if we had some pretty severe weather.

I feel bad for J's parent's who are coming down tomorrow. The weather won't be very nice. My own parent's will be in D.C looking for apartments. But Craig will be home and if we can convince Fergy to evacuate to S.A. (she lives in Houston). The grocery stores here were filled with people getting stocked up. The mayor told everyone to do their errands now, before the influx of evacuees clog up our roads this weekend.

I am just concentrating on Lore's party. I am trying to get a second wind to finish cleaning the office. I finished baking Lore's cake, so far it's just triple chocolate (chocolate cake mix, with added chocolate pudding mix, with added chopped up chocolate chips), tomorrow we'll add the chocolate frosting with a light dusting of finely chopped chocolate chips. What can I say, it's a tradition! I just can't wait to see her face when she eats it...hell I can't wait to see the gleam in her eye when she sees the cake slice placed before her. I am going to get my mom to bring her digital camera so I can get pics up sooner.

We're having a care bear themed party for Lore. Classic strawberry shortcake would be too expensive...I'd have to go to ebay and find stuff. And the new strawberry shortcake is just too vulgar. And the current care bear stuff looks very similiar to what I grew up with...still very cute. J is even planning on carving a huge block of cheddar cheese into a care bear. (He loves his cheese) I am hoping to send someone out tommorrow to get care bear balloons. Mic is all excited...he just loves birthdays.

And before I forget...Frodo and Bilbo Baggins also share Lorelei's birthday. Happy Birthday everyone!
