My genius must be recorded

So sometimes I can actually be intelligent. I wrote this last night to describe my knitting "problem."

Does this happen to any of you?

You're knitting in your favourite chair. Happy and content...dreaming of what the finished garment is going to look like. And something in side your brain starts to tickle. A new knitting projects springs to your mind and dazzles you with the possibilities. You close your eyes and shout to this Salome, "NO I have 5 projects already on needles and 10 more waiting to get started. I can NOT start any more!!!" Yet that tickle begins to be an itch and it is maddening. Oh the possibilities!! Matching hat. Matching dress. A nifty sweater with cool new stitches!! And poof another knitting bunny materializes on your needles.

It is maddening!! I sit knitting on the CHAP (my aran sweater) and I think oooh a matching hat with a pom pom would look so CUTE on my son's head!! I sit knitting on the hat for my daughter that is ALREADY going to go with a sweater that is waiting in the wings to be started and I think oooh that Anouk dress from Knitty would look AWESOME with this!! I sit knitting my branching out scarf and I think oooh a off white sweater with cabling detail would look so great with this. I sit knitting a dishcloth and MORE dishcloths spring to mind!!! And it continues...till I am my mother with 39 UFOs (unfinished objects on needles) in her closet!!

Bunnies I am surrounded by bunnies. There ought to be a warning sticker on knitting instruction books: May cause you to become infested with knitting bunnies.

What is really sad is that I was thinking this morning in the shower, how can I knit me up some bunnies??
