Lace Soothes My Soul

I was in a terrifically bad mood yesterday--as a result I got alot done on my lace scarf and was inspired to start sketching out plans for my own Orenburg style lace scarf. Don't know why but working with lace makes me feel calm. Maybe it's because I force myself to be calm when I knit...you CAN NOT be tense when you knit lace. It just opens you up to so many mistakes.

And my sock envy and lace envy has collided. I am now trying to find a cute lace pattern for I can use in socks.

Jamey got home early yesterday at 4 from a hellish shift and went to bed...not getting out of bed till 10 this morning. Poor guy. Even though he was asleep and not helping with the kids, my mood immediately lightened when he came home and I felt so much more calm. I love him.

And let's see if he returns the favor and lets me buy a lace pattern book...grin.
