This make me feel better

In the midst of me wallowing in self pity why I don't get more than 15 page views a day and why after 8 or so years of blogging (before there was "blogging")--6 on this actual site--when Caroline, Jason, Derek, Meg and now Heather, get so many visitors they can complain about bandwidth because to many people coming and shutting down their site, or getting vast amounts of hate mail and or QUITTING their job and supporting themselves on ads because they are so loved, leaving me to wonder what happened to my wit, Derek reminds me why I still read his site 6 years after I found it. One, he is wise and two, he is a damn fine writer (and photographer) and that's all that matters.

So who cares if no one knows my name...my friends and family come to my blog and they care about it and me. And eventually I'll get my brain back and write glib, witty things again. Or so I will keep telling myself.

But still, it hurts the egotist in me NOT to care how many people come to see me. It's hard to have an ego bigger than Bono's and NOT have a stage and a crowd of people screaming for me or at me.

So here is to me writing about what I love and FUCK caring about the rest.
