Where in the world?
No--I have not fallen off the face of the world, but it felt like it. I spent a few days with the computer in the living room to get some work done...and that meant unplugging the internet. But I am at the printing stage of my project--so back into the office we go...back to internet back to the printer.
But...now that I am in front of the computer, logged into blogger--I have nothing to say.
I had loads to say earlier before I was connected to the internet. I always have interesting things to say when I can't get to the computer.
Mic learned a hard lesson on Friday night though. We were at a Silver Stars game (ya know WNBA--girlie basketball to all the lugheads)--before the game starts our local paper sponsers a big blimp that flys around inside the arena daring people to cheer and rewarding them with rubber Spurs bracelts (where they don't have Silver Stars braclets are beyond me--heck I am happy we are getting goodies--we didn't for so long--yes we are the Spurs neglected step sister.) attached to pink streamers (which Mic thought were ballons--I digress.) The blimp makes it's way to our side and Mic is jumping up and down like a maniac trying to attract attention to himself. The blimp passes us but Mic doesn't give up. Then the blimp comes back and hover right above Micci and drops it's prize. Well no one was around Mic...the other kids were ten feet away. The package drops at Mic's feet...and this awful 10 year old snot rag of a boy swoops in and snatches it inches from Mic's outstetched hand. I am sitting a few feet away with Lorelei in my lap...and I called out to the boy to stop. But that little snot raced back to his seat 2 sections away. I was fuming. And Mic was heartbroken. Jamey was walking around doing section leader stuff, so he wasn't there to watch the kids while I snatched that kid bald headed. Oh I wanted to so bad!!! When J. came back I explained why Mic was so upset. Jamey didn't seem to realise that the operator of the blimp meant it for Micci. It took a bit for me ti explain that Mic was alone, then he kept repeating that stuff happens. I tried to comfort Mic and let him know he's got to be quicker next time. About 10 or 15 minutes later, a Man in a blue shirt comes up to us, the operator of the blimp..."I saw what happened and I meant the bracelt for him." And he handed me the bracelet for Mic.
My faith in humanity was restored. And Mic was a bit miffed because he wanted the pink streamer too.
