Phisto's Head Explodes

I am now wiping the grey matter from my face...it reached me all the way from Denver. She sent me a link to this glorious ditty about properly honoring (or rather "glorifying" your husband). Knowing Phisto and her power bitch ways--you can easily see why her head exploded ever so violently.

Now some of the rules seem feasible if two corollaries are followed...the Husband is a SAINT and if the rules are reciprocated. And I am not sure how many husbands are up to that task. I just see a vast majority taking advantage of such a wife.

I also have issues with "As you fulfill your God-given responsibilities ( i.e. housework et al), your husband is then free to do his work." Personally...I don't see my job as my God given responsibilities. As a stay at home parent, I do the cooking, cleaning, laundry, child care, because it's my job as a SAHP. But if I worked and J. was the SAHP then he would have those stay at home responsibilities. And if we both worked then we would share those responsibilities. I am not raising my daughter to be a slave/servant to her husband just as much as I am not raising my son to be waited on hand and foot by his wife.

That being said there are a few that just beg the question, "Do you enjoy being a door mat?" Namely, 6, 7, 10.

As with all advice for good or bad...it all needs to be tempered by wisdom--which I am sure God gave all of us...even the little green apples.
