Playing Nursemaid

I've been busy taking care of Jamey since his knee surgery on Friday.

This is the cyst he had removed. He's had it for years and years but fairly recently it's really started to bother him.

A side view: isn't huge?

Although now with a 3 inch incision on his knee and an immoblizer coupled with mind searing pain, he isn't so sure he should have had the surgery after all. On day four though, the pain isn't so bad and he's beginning to ease off the vicodin. I'll have to take a picture of the the incision after I change his bandages tonight.

Having one's knee immoblized sure makes you appreciate having bendy knees. Simply going to the bathroom presented issues and pain and contortions. Luckily he could pee standing up. And NO ONE told us the side effects of GA--massive amounts of gas! Goodness.
