Socks!

My socks are beginning to resemble actual socks. For the past few weeks my sock was just a tube...it could have been anything---well no it did have toe shaping...but it could have just been a willy warmer (a rather large willy warmer) ahem...but now it's resembling a sock! I had a hiccup trying to work the short rows for the heel shaping. Never having knitting socks or shot rows for that matter, I wasn't sure I was doing it right.

In knitting fear is not an option...if you succumb to your fears you'll never get beyond knitting wash cloths. You'll never discover the wonderousness of knitting lace, or sweaters, or any other sort of lovely garment. You'll never pull on a pair of socks you've made yourself, feeling the warm snuggliness of woolly socks. One stitch at a time, one row at a time...just keeping knitting onward and you'll have made something wonderful and beautiful.

Now I am half way through my heel and I can't wait to try the on again.
