Not a Good Day

Today started out rather nice....the sky was blue, the birds were singing, Jamey and snuck a little nookie before getting out of bed... I sat a for a bit at the computer, planning to go Knitting At the Library later on. I even started a fun Google scavenger hunt my online knitting group moderator whipped up for us. When Jamey and I heard a bang and a crash from the Lorelei's bedroom.

I make Jamey investigate--because I don't want to know. Seconds later, I hear a god awful scream (kids are okay don't worry, but Lorelei's closet which was full of Jamey's extensive Comic, card and stamp collection looked like it had vomited all over the bedroom. I have never heard or seen Jamey so incredibly angry...I've been married to him for 7 years (nearly) and oh my god. Normally I am the one that goes apeshit...he's the cool, calm collected one that says, "Birdy, calm down."

Goodbye, Knitting At the Library and see ya later Scavenger Hunt. Hello hours and hours of picking up stamps, thousands upon thousands of sports, comic, and singer cards, and hundreds of comics. Jamey leaves after a couple hours because he's about to blow a gasket seeing card after card bent and stamps torn or crumpled.

Yeah the kids were quietly destroying years of organised collected before the crash bang alerted us to a problem. Sigh.

Well it's one way to get Jamey to weed down his collection.
