Disillusioned Much?

I read this over at one of my favourite blogs yesterday. I really really liked the idea she proposed: Renew the Dream.

Despite all the horrible gut wrenching things that happen in today's world...I couldn't even dare to dream of something different. A big turn around for me--I was always a big dreamer. But lately--I am a bit harder--more pessimistic.

Sometimes I wonder if enough people care enough to even care, never mind do anything about it.

My dream:

Someday people will acknowledge their choice and accountability. All adults will love their children and never knowingly harm them.

Someday, people will look in the mirror and see that they aren't alone and help is only a phone call away--and that person on the other end will care and will help.

Someday, people will realize that others exist beside themselves and that everything they do ripples and effect the other's around them.

Someday people will stop relying on other's to take care of them and will start giving service and support to others.

We have a way to go...and a lot of other things to take care of first.

Let's start with the mutilation of our bodies for some ridiculous idea of beauty and purity...esp. our little girls.
