Bundled Up!

It's COLD and dark. But I am told it will warm up tomorrow (it should be warm for Christmas). But for now, I am bundled on the couch, seeing if I knit fast enough will I keep my fingers warm (and perhaps finish some things)?

I put up my tree. I am very proud of it--it looks beautiful. Unfortunately I couldn't catch it's spark on my camera (it's pale comparison to the real thing).

This is the first year we had the trains up. So far the kids stay away from it-mostly. I have to get after them. But no wholesale destruction-yea!! Although, the cats have pretty much stayed away from the tree. Last year Gina was practically glued to her spot under the tree. This year, she is parked on my lap--which I don't mind because it's so COLD!! Every so often I slip my hands under her tummy and warm up my fingers.

This is one of my favourite ornaments. I like old fashion, slightly country crafty ornaments. I also have quite a few ornaments I had as a child. I'll show ya those tomorrow.

I also like Santas.

I am trying to figure out what to do for Christmas dinner. For the past few years it's been small: lasagna or French Onion soup. A nice meal yes but not fancy or big like Thanksgiving. We were too busy for Turkey soup this year, and I really want my soup--but do I want the hassle of turkey making?

Mostly everything is done: presents are all bought (I still need to wrap). I can't find 3 of the 4 stockings: not good. It ought to be warmer tomorrow--so I'll go hunting in the garage again. I need to do a bit of tidying up. Easy Peasy!
