Interesting point. Are President Bsuh and PR Tony Blair past the point of no return? Does protest work? How can we change anything?

A bit fatalistic. But that's why us webbloggers aren't politicians. Don't have the heart for it (or the lack--depending on your POV).

I personally support a unified force going into Iraq and ousting Saddam. I don't care if Bush's underlying theme is to get more oil for the US or not. But if it gets Saddam out...then go for it. He is an bad bad man. When we went to war in the Balkans did we get UN support? If we had waited for UN support, Milosevic would still be in power and many more millions would be dead from ethnic cleansing. Do you not remember the images of mass graves...with the bodies of little children, babies and their mothers?? I don't know if we will find mass graves in Iraq, merely because the desert takes care of the messiness of mass murder.

As much as I want a united front (the UN and the Arab countries), it won't happen. Not one of us can put aside out petty differences and pur mistrust for one another aside to work together for a common good. So if Spain, Britian and the US must go at it alone and wait for the eventual support of others then so be it. This world isn't perfect--nothing fits together. Sometimes dirty is the only way to make it fit.
