I always thought that 1984 would manifest itself through Big Business. And if this new de-regulation continues unimpeeded then we will soon know what it is like to live in a 1984 society.

This is also a direct result what happens when we elect a government that cares more about the money guys than the public guys. It's not just the politicians fault either...running for office is extremely expensive and if you want to be elected money is where it is.
