Our night of Freedom. Since Micci was in Grandma's hands last night...J and I decided to take advantage of well my mom's generosity and go on a date--Dinner and a movie. It's been ages since we've been able to do so with out Mic. We stuffed ourselves with Country Fried Steak and mashed potatoes. Truly the food of the gods. Then we saw the new Matrix movie.

I am not recommending it nor am I telling you not to see it. It's not one of those great films where your life would be empty if you never saw it, nor is it a waste of time. A nice enjoyable film with many interesting concepts. Although J did despise the cliched Dad dum dum ending music. What is real for instance? Are we really free? Are we even conscious? What is dreaming and what is waking? J brought up an interesting idea...what if we are in The Matrix and the films are to wake us up from it?

Ah age old questions that Hollywood has made pretty with FX and vinyl.
