I am trying once more. I am making cookies. Remember my last attempt? A horrid disaster I am blaming on the heat...this time I am not pre-heating the oven. Let's see if this batch will turn out alright. I am also not making chocolate chip, but the most chewy, delicious chocolate cookie ever.

I'm just waiting for the butter to soften.

Last night we had dinner at friend's of my mom's home. They bought it for a scream up in the hill country. We ate dinner on their deck (loverly) and got to watch the sunset over a hill of green (trees...imagine it...here in Texas). Exquisite. It never rained as promised...but it threatened to. The rolling clouds made for a spectacular sunset.

I also got to watch Micci make a juicy mess of himself with watermelon...I think he managed it get juice over eveyr square inch of himself.
