Austin doesn't matter

On Monday we all went to Fort Worth to see some relatives that I had never met before. Taking I-35 North we of course passed through Austin. It was weird...before I'd get all tingly when I passed through Austin...now it was like passing through Waco or Buda. Nothing. No buzz. And not a peep of a wistful sigh. It seems that I have gotten Austin out of my system. Thank god cause Austin did not want me around.

Sure I do miss my favourite eateries. That pub with e great Hamburgers and Fries with Guinness from the tap. Freebirds where I got HUMONGOUS burrito fajitas. But other than that...well I miss R. and I do want to see J. from the record store's face when he learns I got a kid (hee hee it would be priceless!).

Anyway...it's a good thing. Austin was a disaster...both times.

BUT, on the way back from Fort Worth we stopped by Q.'s place...woke her up at 11 am (tsk tsk). She was wearing a fuzzy pink robe...I am still getting a good chuckle out of that one. But we had a nice chat...not as in depth as I would have liked but the in-laws were right there and I had to be a good Birdy.

Oh and Mic got a nasty cold from the cousins in Fort Worth...SIGH. big green nasties running from his nose. And I have a sore throat--am I next??
