Bailing and hiding

So I completely bailed on Nanowrimo...sorry R.

And now I am hiding in the office, cause I don't want to call the dentist office to cancel J.'s appt (which is in less than 30 minutes). He's cooking soup and really doesn't want to be harassed by the dentist. And I am supposed to call because the lie he made up would sound more convincing if I called. SIGH.

I feel bad about nanowimo (I can resist all guilt trips but my own), but I just had NO inspiration (I am also well versed in excuses). But I think when inspiration hits...I'll just create my own nanowrimo month...so there!

The house is half decorated for Christmas...mantle is decorated with garland and bows and santas and stockings. The tree is half naked with only two pathetic strands of lights (the third blew out and we need to get a replacement). Although the tree might stay naked this year because Mic has a fascination with throwing balls at it (it really doesn't help that three days ago his basketball hoop stood there).

Family's back from their trip to Massachusetts. They had fun and mom kicked ass at her high school reunion. Of course they came home to Grandma that definitely should not drive any more (sun blindness caused her to run a red light and smash into a truck. She's fine...you should see the truck!)

AND my birthday is in two days (on Thursday). I am not sure how a feel about it yet.
