My name is Mrs. Evans!!!

Why do telemarketers, and companies you do business with (who invariably only call to tell you to pay a bill) insist on calling you by your first name?? They must know how disrespectful that is (especially those creditors that act like you don't want to pay your bill ever)? Oh I've heard the line, "It's to make the customer feel like we care about them and that they have a personal relationship with us!"

Oh really? Sigh, maybe some people want that...why, they must be out of their mind!...but I certainly don't want that. I do business with you, you're not my friend or even acquaintance. I_don't_know_you.

Sigh, is it only me that feels this is extremely rude?

Oh and just because I am a little late paying a bill doesn't give you the right to be rude and mean to me. In this economy you'd think they wouldn't act as if I am the scum of the earth. Sigh...that is my rant of the day.
