Spurs won and the long way home

Ha ha ha Lakers...you suck!

Had to get that out. It was an interesting evening. I tagged along with my mom to her knitting circle. It was loads of fun. The ladies are as crazy as my mom and there were goodies to eat (always important). We spent about 2 hours gabbing and them poof all of us went our separate ways. Unfortunately, we (my mom, Kimmy and I) were only able to drive down the road little before we heard a load click and my mom felt the gas pedal sink to the floor. Next thing we know we can only go 5 miles per hour...if we're not on an incline. There goes watcing 10.5 on NBC tonight (I was really lookign forward to seeing it--I am nuts for disaster flicks)! So we call the "boys" and an hour later they find us.

Apparently the cable that connects the gas pedal to the engine...snapped (that was the click sound). But we were able to keep ourselves amused for that hour, mostly at Kimmy's expense. Mom is going to be so bruised tomorrow--Kim kept thwacking her on the arm for being "mean." Oh brother. If my daughter acts like Kim at 14...I am shipping her away to a boarding school...or a military academy. She is beginning to swear like sailor now...it's very annoying. So now she's a bitchy, spoiled princess sailor brat.

So, that was my night. But I did end up watching the last 5 minutes of 10.5. Sigh, I hope NBC will re-air it.
