Mini-flood of 2004

It seems every summer we have some sort of water/plumming problem. I am at my mom's house right now and have been since Saturday afternoon, because now none of our toilets work and as a very pregnant person...I need my toilets to work!!

It started while I was cleaning (I knew I shouldn't have cleaned) the bathroom--more specifically scrubbing the tub with bleach. Water began coming out of the bolts that tie the toilet to the floor. For you non-plummers out there, that shouldn't happen.. At first, I think it's from the tub...then I notice that the water level in the toilet is going down. So like the the idiot preggo that I am (seriously, my brain has stopped function on a cognitive level), I flush the toilet to see what will happen. Well, it doesn't flush...but the water level rises, then starts going down again, spewing onto the floor from the bolts.

After I throw half the towels in the house at the water, I call J. at work crying...I really don't handle stress well when I am pregnant... Of course he can't come home so he has me call my mom. And of course by this time I am hysterical and I have my mom come and rescue me. I get off the phone and curl into a fetal position on my bed and whimper. Then Mic comes into the bedroom, holding his sippy cup up to his ear like a phone, talkiing into it very much like I was minutes before. I don't know if he was sympathising with me or just mocking me...I am beginning to think...the latter.

So now I have been at my mom's house for two days...not entirely an awful thing...my mom has GREAT pillows and Kim's here to play with Mic. And Phil works now so I don't have to deal with him all day...much. And Kim seems to be non-bitch like most of the day, until evening and then her head begins to spin.

I hate plumming.
