My smart little boy

Okay...every mother wants their children to be smart. But watch out...be careful what you hope and dream for. My little smarty pants has learned how to lock doors and consequently locked me out of the house this morning when I walked to the edge of the yard to deposit mail. Luckily, the garage door was open...otherwise I'd be telling a quite different story. I am not sure now what is safe from my little man.

In other news, my house is CLEAN! My mom came over on Wednesday and helped me clean...which was a blessing! Kim came too; she watched Michael, while mom and I cleaned and scrubbed. Now, of course, it is up to me to keep it that way. The living room is already a bit of a mess (we weren't home yesterday...see preggo blog) from Micci toys. But that will be quickly taken care of.

I also started Lorelei's baby blanket last night as well...and oh it's pink and sweet and soft. It's just an amazing feeling to make something special for your baby. You put your very DNA into the blanket as you transfer skin cells and oils onto the yarn as you knit...not to mention motherly love...and you know you're child will always be surrounded by you and your love.

Oh damn,... I just looked out the office window and it's raining!!! We haven't been able to mow the lawn because of the rain always coinciding with Jamey's days off. And tomorrow was going to be the day to cut our out of control grass. ARGH. (see I can't cut it...nto being preggo and with the allergies). Not only are we going to miss out on cutting the grass to a managable length but NOW it'll grow like mutant grass once again!
