Knitting Scars

In addition to my knitting callus on my right index finger, now I have a weird bump on my nail--I think from leaning it against then needle. Right now I have two knitting projects in my basket. A light yellow afghan that is nearly finished and a DNA Scarf that I knit when I go out...but really it's so cool I knit it at home too. I am half way done with it...and when I finish it...I'll start again...to give to Phisto. Checkout the link it really is the coolest scarf.

I never thought I'd be a knitter like my mom. My mom kept trying to teach me, but I never "got it"--until a few years back and poof I can't stop. And the scars to prove it.

I still cross-stitch--just not as much. And when knitting does wear me out...I have something to go back to.

One of the good things about my mom moving to Virginia is she giving me a bunch of her yarn. I shouldn't have to buy more yarn unless I need something special. So far though I have only made scarfs, blankets and hats--after I finish the afghan I'll start a sweater or socks...neato toe socks with white and green stripes.
