Chasing Rita

Now that Hurricane Rita has pasted by most of Texas. J. is going to help Houston open their HEB grocery stores. Mainly assessing damage, restocking, and opening up the stores for the people when they come back to shop. He'll probably be gone 5 days. He's leaving in a few hours.

I am not sure what to think. I am really proud that he volunteered to help. But I am not sure how it's going to be with him gone for a week. I know when he left for a week 5 years ago to visit his parents it was hard and I missed him horribly. However, now I have children and depend on his presence. Luckily I have my mom for support, but I will still miss J and I am sure the kids will miss him like crazy.

I am just glad Hurricane Rita spared Houston a direct hit, as I have family that lives there. But I am sure it was one hell of a storm.
