Know thy self

I am not one for being scared. I try to avoid scary movies because my imagination is way too vivid and I end up scaring myself to pieces. Knowing this I still decided to watch Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments.

While, I didn't get freaked out by having to sit through an whole scary story with the suspense--I still got to see the most horrifying part of each 100 movies. I did not sleep well.

The one movie though that caught me and is making me break my rule of not watching horror movie happens to be Rosemary's Baby--yeah big surprise since I am so birth obsessed. Well the scene they feature was Rosemary giving birth to the baby...or rather what happened after. The scene opened in the hospital hallway and a man running though them. You can hear screams. The man opens the door into the most sterile ugly delivery room I have ever seen. And there are dead, mangled, bloody bodies everywhere. And what freaks me out is not the blood or all those "fine medical professionals" dead, but the picture of Rosemary screaming to see her baby and asking what happened while she is physically restrained to the delivery bed by leather straps on her arms and her legs tied to the stirrups. Like an animal...and never mind that refusing consent is NOT an option...It's disgusting. And I know that they used to do that to labouring women ALL THE TIME.

It's just horrifying...so NOW I have to see the damn movie.

On a side note I am updating Writer's Block every day--nearly anyway and go check it out. (Look on that little side bar to your right) Nanowrimo is COMING!!!
