Hard Night

It was someone's (ahem James) idea to take the child lock off of Micci's bedroom door. So he could go potty by himself at night/early morning. And I finally did it few weeks back when Micci had taken off his diaper in the early morning and then pooed on the carpet and then smeared it all over his bed.

Since them my sleep has been shoddy. He gets up at all hours and wanders around the house, turning on lights and making noise. Well apparently that is no longer entertaining. A few nights ago he's been wanting company and so he wakes up sister. Well I locked her door so he couldn't get into her room. Well he figured out how to unlock the door. Well last night I explained to him (blearly eyed at 2 am) that waking up his sister was naughty and that SHE needed her sleep. He got that message. But he was still bored. SO HE GOT A BIG STICK OF BUTTER OUT OF THE FRIDGE AND PROCEEDED TO SMEAR IT ALL OVER HIS ROOM.

My patience is gone and that lock is going up tonight. Provided the little monster won't perfect his taking off the child lock knob off the door skill.

And people wonder why some parents put their children is cages.
