No one was injured while taking this vacation

Well we're back from the Great White North...literally--I saw like 5 black people the entire time.

It was great seeing my Grandma...a bit sad as well because my Pa wasn't there...but we did visit his grave site. Mic was a bit nervous meeting Great Grandma Ruthie, but he got over that quickly--until she got tough with him and then turned "shy." Lore warmed up to her as well... Gran was pleased that she at elast ate "well"...Micci well he takes after me and that aggravated her. SIGH. I pick my battled and FOOD will NOT be one of those.

My mom took us up to WEBS and bought me yarn (some laceweight half silk and alpaca and two skeins of sock yarn) and Yankee Candle...oh my goodness...that place is awesome. It has SO much more than candles. It has a great toy shop with awesome toys and a Christmas village and a KNIGHT and these beautiful handmade wooden boxes from Poland...oh I salivated over the boxes.

We went to Friendly's for Lunch...hand't been there in ages and on the way backto Westfield we got into an accident. YEP, more fun with cars. We were stopped at a red light waiting in the right lane to turn and a car turned in the interectiona nd was t-bones by another car and was pushed into us. No one was hurt, but the car's passenger that t-boned the other car that hit us, had a melt down and was screaming and swearing at the other driver (the one that GOT t-boned)...it was nuts. Our car was a rental...so we don't have to worry too much about what to do with the car...just got a new one a few hours later. But it was an adventure that I could have done without. Mic loved seeing the firetrucks and ambulences.

Okay...what else...we stopped by the old house on Skipper Lane (the one that my Pa and Grandma built by themselves in the 50's) and I pursuaded my mom and Gran to ask for a tour--what could it hurt right--well the owner couldn't be happier to show off her home...so every oen had a treat...learning about it's history and what has been done to it now.

I'll probably post pics when I get home in July. We are heading for Bracey, land of no internet, tomorrow--so I may nto blog at least for a few weeks...and maybe in Waynesboro...who knows.
